SELF-EMPLOYED LOANS
Self-Employed and Bank Statement Home Loans
If you're self-employed, your tax returns often show less income than you actually earn after write-offs. That's where a lot of banks say no. Certain limitations apply, call for details.
Bank statement loans are non-QM loans that look at 12 or 24 months of personal or business bank deposits to figure out qualifying income, instead of relying only on tax returns. We work with non-QM lenders that offer these programs and compare them for you.
Good to know
- Non-QM loans usually need a larger down payment and carry higher rates than conventional loans.
- Other options may include 1099-only, profit-and-loss and asset-based programs.
- We'll tell you whether a conventional loan might work better for you.
